rocky landscape with single tree, jason theaker, mother nature, deep livingTo you, our Mother, we turn to sustain our existence:

Your breath, the air, we breathe for life itself
Your mountains, we ascend for perspective and solace
Your forests, we enter to witness the plenitude of creation
Your oceans, we escape to for journey and exploration
Your rivers, we tap to drink and be quenched
Your soil, we till and tend to grow our bounty
Your children, the creatures of all kind, we take as nourishment

Why then have we become greedy and ungrateful?

Your air we pollute
Your mountains we blast
Your forests we decimate
Your oceans we poison
Your rivers we dump in
Your soil we make barren
Your children we exterminate

Let us realize the error of our ways, make amends and atone for our degradations.
Let us reconnect, rekindle our respect and dwell in a perpetual harmony.
Let us be One again.
