Meditation: Shedding the Unnecessary

While you go about your day, look around you. Consider the people and things you see; the activities you do; the thoughts that occupy your mind.
Of what you surround yourself with, what is truly necessary?
If you had to suddenly relocate and could only take one bag, what would you bring? Who would you keep in contact with?
Understanding want verses need; what adds true value to our life and what does not; knowing that freedom and happiness can come from less and not more.
This is what is necessary.
